1. All members of the Progressive Club are asked to meet at 6:00 p.m. in the Collins
Building.
2. The Harvey-Whitlock-Bennett Women's Missionary Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the lower level of the church. All
missionaries are asked to attend.

1. The Gillison Voices of Praise will have rehearsal at 12:30 p.m. in the lower level of the church.
2. The Sunbeam Choir will have reheasal at 1:00 p.m. in the lower level of the church.

Emanuel Day - One Worship Service at 9:30 a.m. We will have the service of the Lord's Supper
during this celebration. In Celebration of Emanuel Day we are asking that all members commit to an element on
the GIVING TREE. SPREAD THE WORD
1. All missionaries and YPD'ers are asked to be in full uniform for the observance of the Emanuel Day celebration.
2. All members of the A. W. Holman Club are asked to meet following the 9:30 a.m. Worship Service in the lower level
of the church.

The Gerald S. Holman and the Viola LaSaine units will meet following the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service in the lower level of the church. All members are asked to attend.
THE SOUTH CAROLINA BOARD OF EXAMINERS will continue its classes on the following dates: August 2, 2008 and
August 16, 2008. The sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. Please make a note of the dates as we plan
other meetings and programming. SPECIAL THANKS to the people who have helped us in previous sessions.
BIBLE STUDY will resume on Wednesday, July 16, 2008. In the meantime, all members are encouraged to seek
God's Spirit to enhance our congregation in the areas of worship, fellowship, ministry, discipleship and evangelism. These
five areas are the components that will prepare our church for the future God has prepared for it.
OLD PICTURES - As we prepare for our tourism ministry, we are seeking old pictures of life at Emanuel. We will scan
the pictures and return them unharmed. Please bring your old photos of life here at Emanuel. Thanks for your help.
OFFICERS' RETREAT for the Officers of Emanuel will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Salvation
Army Building starting at 10:00 a.m. and concluding at 3:00 p.m. All officers, including: stewards, trustees, class leaders,
chairpersons of boards and auxiliaries are asked to plan ahead and attend.
